John Adams is the assistant director for Operations at the WVU Energy Institute. He focuses on commercialization strategies, water resources, gas utilization and economic development issues, in addition to managing overall operations of the Institute.
Adams came to WVU in 2016 with a quarter century experience as management consultant and attorney, including nearly a decade with Grant Thornton LLP’s Global Public Sector practice in Washington, DC.
He brings significant expertise in organizational development, strategic planning, federal funding capture/proposal development and economic development, along with core skills and econometric, economic, policy, financial and compliance/risk management analysis.
Adams is a 1995 graduate of the University of Washington Law School, with an undergraduate degree from Boston University.
