Brian Close is currently a program coordinator at the WVU Institute for Sustainability and Energy Research. He is responsible for the execution and day-to-day management of transdisciplinary projects focused on energy and sustainability. He ensures collaboration with faculty, students and external partners to align with WISER’s mission and vision, with a focus on the impact on West Virginia and Central Appalachia.
Education
Close holds a bachelor in geology from West Virginia University and went on to achieve his master's in earth and ocean science from Old Dominion University.
