Our mission is to assist WVU faculty with strategic planning and proposal development of
large-scale, energy and environmental, research and outreach programs. We help
principal investigators (PIs) pursue funding opportunities and identify experts
within WVU and at other organizations to create robust teams to address complex
problems. Among the topics we address are:
- energy materials
- carbon capture and utilization
- natural gas extraction and utilization
- alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles (NAFTC)
Our research services provide the infrastructure behind the scenes of the WVU Institute for Sustainability and Energy Research:
- Information Technology Services
- Analytical Laboratory, certified by the West Virginia Division of Environmental Protection, providing analyses of groundwater, coal, biofuels, coal ash, and soil
- Communications, responsible for outreach activities and media relations
