Energy researchers invited to holiday open house on Dec. 8

The WVU community and colleagues throughout the greater Morgantown area are invited to join energy researchers from across campus for a holiday open house.   

The Research Office event will be held on Wed., Dec. 8, from 4-6 p.m., in Salon A of the Erickson Alumni Center and will offer networking and poster opportunities promoting WVU’s energy and sustainability research efforts. 

The event is being hosted by the WVU Energy Institute and co-sponsored by the Energy Institute, the Research Office Decarbonization and Carbon Management Initiative and the WVU Bridge Science and Technology Policy Leadership and Communications Initiative.


EVENT DETAILS

RSVP BY DEC 1:  Attendees are strongly encouraged to RSVP by Dec. 1 to register their posters and boost networking participation.  Attendees should feel free to share this invitation with internal and external energy colleagues.

WVU GRAD STUDENTS:  Grad students who are currently working on energy research with WVU faculty are invited to attend.  RSVP at the above link.

WVU FACULTY & GRAD POSTERS:  Easels will be provided to all attendees who register a poster.  Poster boards (40" x 30") will be provided to those who request one when registering and will be available 30-minutes before the start of the open house in Salon A, along with tape, pins, etc.

NAMETAGS:  Preprinted nametags will be available for those who preregister by Dec. 1 and will include your research keywords (provided when you register) to encourage networking.

POSTER LIST AND CONTACT INFORMATION: A list of all posters and researcher contact information will be available at the reception desk as a takeaway reference.

MASKS:  Mask are requested when not eating or drinking.  Extras will be available at the registration desk if you forget yours.

SOCIAL DISTANCING:  A larger room has been reserved to allow for proper social distancing.
